Description

Polwarth wool combed top for spinning and felting – 115g braid

115g braid of buttery soft 100% Polwarth Combed Top, hand-dyed by me

  • Skin-soft fine wool
  • Locally sourced NZ spinning and felting wool
  • Grown and processed just 40 minutes from my home studio – a true story of farm-to-fibre
  • Ideal for handspinning, needle felting or wet felting projects

I sourced this wool as raw fleece from local NZ sheep and commissioned its processing: washing, carding and gilling, at farm-mill Tai Tapu Wool Carders in Rolleston, Aotearoa New Zealand.

This pure NZ wool carries a story, and some vegetable matter is present – a reminder that it comes from real sheep living their best lives, and its journey from farm to fibre.
