25g of New Zealand Possum Fur

• Possum fur is soft and warm with a unique ‘halo’ texture
• Perfect for blending boards, drum carders and hand carders
• Will need to be blended with other fibres

This pure possum fur is a byproduct of my restoration work, and I take the time, where possible, to harvest the fur so it can be used to create beautiful, warm yarn.

As a restoration ecologist, I carry out predator control to restore native forests and protect native fauna, which involves trapping the Brushtail possum – a species native to Australia that has become a pest here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
